Anxiety disorder is a condition that makes people become very anxious in a very short amount of time. People suffering from this disorder are passing through very difficult times and this makes them afraid of meeting other people and unwilling to socialize. In some cases they may also become paranoid.

The symptoms associated with anxiety disorder usually include states of confusion, avoidance of other people, increased irritability, feelings of fear and insecurity and a constant state of alert. These are the most common symptoms, but others may also occur.

In most of the cases a person suffering from anxiety disorder will also experience anxiety attacks or otherwise known as panic attacks. These usually happen when the anxiety level is incredibly high and are very scary for the person experiencing them. The heart rate is suddenly increasing and difficulties in breathing may occur. Tightness in chest and throat is also experienced and this is why breathing becomes difficult. Dizziness, sweating and trembling, as well as hot flashes are also common symptoms in case of anxiety attack. Obsessive thoughts and fears that seem overwhelming are particularly difficult to cope with. People experiencing this often say that they cannot focus on what is going on around them and they feel like their anxiety is going to push them over the edge. The simple thought of the next attack is sometimes extremely frightening to the person suffering of this condition.

The anxiety disorder is a condition that you can overcome and if you experienced the symptoms listed above you should definitely seek help. There are lots of people dealing with this disorder and overcoming it every day. Searching their success stories online and reading it can be of great help. There are also books and courses written by experts in this field that can be of use in making you feel better.

The symptoms of anxiety are as follows: heart palpitations and heart burn, increased heart rate, irregular breathing patterns, stomach pains, menstruation difficulties and rising body temperature with possible hot flashes. Fundamentally, the main symptom is anxiety itself, which is an extreme feeling of stress and nervousness.

Aside from normal panic attacks and general anxiety, nighttime attacks can prove very difficult to deal with and are very frightening. It often involved the sufferer waking up during the middle of their deepest sleep, with an extreme sense of fear and uneasiness. Depression can cause anxiety and usually takes the form of OCD, obsessive compulsive disorder, and prolonged stress disorders, ie post-traumatic stress.

A good step when burdened with anxiety is to seek professional help. A combination of medicated drugs and therapy is recommended and is a good way to help ease the symptoms. Some people prefer to avoid the prescribed drug use as it can be harmful to the body and mind.

As well as starting a new list of problems such as depression and suicidal thoughts, prescribed anxiety medication is not as effective as counseling and therapy. Drugs only provide a short term solution to the issue, basically masking the issues in hand and not dealing with the cause. Therapy is great because it targets what Is causing the anxiety, which is usually exposure to uncomfortable social circumstances, instances where extreme amounts of pressure are present and general claustrophobic situations.

The type of therapy you endure really depends on the severity and type of anxiety you harbor. Symptoms and severity vary from person to person so having a range of different therapy types gives flexibility to the type of anxiety you have, therefore reducing the likely-hood of use of prescription drugs. Finding the right therapy is important to save money and time- whilst also dealing with the illness at hand.

Anyone who has had or still has anxiety can tell you that it is one of the worse experiences of life. Anxiety consumes your life by controlling the amount you work and socialize. It throws the natural balance of life off course and leads to disruption in even the simplest tasks. It really is an awful illness to live with.

Usually, people don’t really notice or understand the fact they have anxiety until they have had several panic attacks. It is easy to brush off a few panic attacks, as if it isn’t a severe issue, but after a certain number of attacks has been experienced most people start to think about medications and therapy. Some anxiety treatments and therapies take a great deal of time to see any results and are often a very expensive feat. Not all are like this however. Many people turn to prescribed pills and medication for the cure to their anxiety. However this is not always the best solution. The reason is twofold. The first, is that all pills are doing is mask the problem and sometimes increasing sleep patterns. The problem still lies within your mind and should be dealt with directly. The second reason is that there are several health issues. Usually the side effects include suicidal thoughts and depression, creating a whole problem in itself.

Often, the issues can be dealt with by taking a different attitude towards life. This is because, interestingly most anxiety cases are from people who have made ties to everyday situations and stress, meaning every time they have to deal with that particular situation they have a automatic panic attack. The best thing to do is to logically think about why you are making these ties and realize that your brain is making them. Once you can do this, you can control them. Although it’s difficult to fight the subconscious, it is very possible and will become easier as the more pressing issues in your life are dealt with. For example, if you owe a sizable debt- causing a constant feeling of anxiety, you will naturally feel better after paying it, leaving you in a comfortable place to deal with small anxiety related issues like shopping in congested environments.
