Effective Acne Treatment

September 3rd, 2010 Dan Hicks No comments

It’s not at all uncommon for people today to need to deal with acne concerns in the course of their teenage and grownup lives. You should not worry if you are still battling with acne: you will find a tried and tested strategy you can utilize to overcome your acne and start loving your fresh, blemish-free skin.

Your skin does not need to be an ongoing concern. There are now long-term, effective ways of caring for acne and getting rid of it once and for all.

Nearly all the people I have communicated with are annoyed with trying products that simply don’t work. There are undoubtedly rows upon rows of pimple ointments and solutions at your nearby pharmacy, all claiming to “zap zits” easily.

Exactly why don’t these items succeed? It is easy to understand: they won’t deal with the cause of the problem. All they do is try and reduce pimples one zit at a time.

Consider how silly this really is! What is actually the purpose of attacking a pimple when it’s now popped up and not finding anything to really treat the triggers of the problem?!?

That’s not a long-term remedy and it leaves hordes of folks frustrated. A large number of people quickly jump to the conclusion that acne cannot be treated and practically give up.

Acne can be solved – you just have to make sure you care for the root triggers!

Exactly how is this done?

You have to get a complete treatment solution “system” to be able to ensure that each one of the triggers are cared for. Below are the principal causes of acne:

1) Acne-Causing Bacteria

2) Inflammation of the skin

3) Excess oil on the skin (caused by overactive skin glands)

4) Skin Pores that are clogged

All those four issues are the top “enemies” any time you are fighting with acne. The treatment method you decide upon should target each one of them, should you are going to triumph over your battle.

It perhaps seems somewhat straightforward, and in fact it clearly isn’t brain surgery. In all honesty though, the major companies never generate products that do that since they just want to keep generating profit, and the one approach to accomplish that is to perpetuate acne issues and thereby have individuals purchase their goods.

Thankfully, there are established treatment systems which were specially engineered to touch on every one of the earlier mentioned triggers. By doing so, they’re ready to achieve results in a matter of days and do away with acne on a permanent basis.

While searching for a treatment method, be certain that it targets the problem from all facets. Normally these treatments will involve at least one or two steps and more than one product. This is certainly the sole way you will get the benefits you are worthy of.

Please do not become frustrated if you’ve tried out other products prior to now that have not proved helpful. There are actually proven systems out there, but you may need to look over and above your neighborhood pharmacy’s display. After you’ve discovered the perfect treatment, you will have the capacity to ditch all the others and love your beautiful blemish-free skin.

Adults Acne Scar Treatment

August 28th, 2010 Dan Hicks No comments

Acne is usually caused by hormonal changes and overly active sebaceous (oil) glands that commonly occurs in the teenage years, however it can affect people in adult life as well. Whether you have adult acne scars now, or fear getting a few in the future, it’s always good to know what you’ll be up against. If you’ve been struggling with acne for any period of time, you’ll be relieved to know that there are several effective acne treatments that can improve your appearance. Many acne treatments begin almost immediately to reverse the progression of blemishes and prevent the development of new ones, so it pays to get started as soon as possible. Another important advantage of beginning acne treatments at the first opportunity is the prevention or reduction of acne scarring.

Simple acne treatment methods are known to decrease the level of risk for permanent scarring that’s associated with acne. However, you need to keep in mind that there are acne treatment methods that are used by dermatologists in order to decrease the appearance of acne scar that are left on your skin as a result of acne.

1. Acne scar surgery remains one of the most effective treatment options for treating depressed acne scars. With many types of acne scar surgery now available, dermatologist can remove, raise, fill, and even separate the scar tissue from the underlying skin.

2. This particular type of collagen that’s used for acne treatment originates from cow collagen. The collagen is injected beneath the surface of the skin in an effort to replace the natural collagen that was lost. This type of treatment is usually used in order to treat fine lines on the skin that are a result of aging, wrinkles that appear on the body, and any scars that are found on the skin.

3. Other minor procedures which can be used to supplement prescription acne treatments are peels. Enzyme peels can digest dead skin cells on the surface to allow for easier acne extraction.

4. Studies show that laser skin resurfacing can effectively treat depressed acne scars. In one such study, 158 patients aged 18 to 46 years old were treated with an ablative laser (creates a visible wound). For patients with icepick scars or shallow boxcar scars, the results were good to excellent.

5. Dermabrasion – This type of acne treatment is used to rid the skin of smaller scars, acne scars, scars that are a result from surgery, and imperfections that are found on the surface of the skin. This procedure involves removing the two upper layers of the skin. Once these two layers of skin are removed, the surface of the skin will be much more attractive then when it was before this procedure.

6. Salicylic acid peels penetrate to the oil gland to reduce oil production and give the skin more of a matte finish.

7. To help you get rid of these skin care traumas without having to use potentially dangerous drugs, anti-biotic or chemicals we have chosen Lavender, Bergamot, Lemongrass and Tea Tree essential oils that have antiseptic properties to help fight bacterial infection, and skin inflammation. Geranium will help balance the skin sebum and aid in repair of the skin. This is one of the best natural acne treatment.

August 27th, 2010 Dan Hicks No comments

Are you suffering from acne and looking desperately for the best acne treatment? Are you completely disillusioned with various acne remedies and are yearning for a clear skin? Are you fed-up of experimenting with various acne treatments and have not yet found the ultimate cure for acne? If your answer is yes, then this article is for you. This article is especially for people who have suffered from acne with years and are still looking for the best acne treatment. Acne is extremely problematic as it attacks our face and is visible to all the people around us. It causes embarrassment as every person you meet makes it a point to ask questions on it, offer solutions, offer sympathy, when actually you want none of it. All you want is a cure for acne.

Acne needs to be treated holistically as it is caused due to certain malfunctioning in the body. It can be your hormonal imbalance, stress, overactive oil glands or any other reason, but the bottom line is that acne has to be treated as if you are treating your body. Because acne is not a disease and is the side effect of some malfunctioning, you need to correct the malfunctioning. This would automatically take care of your acne breakouts and treat acne permanently.

Vitamin B has been found to be a miracle vitamin to treat acne. Try first to understand the complex role Vitamin B plays in your body and how it can help keep you acne free. When we talk about vitamin B we mean a mix of vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12 and vitamins Inositol, Choline and Biotin. These vitamins cause re-growth and regeneration of skin cells, hair and nails. For a healthy and acne free skin the dead cells need to be shed off and a new layer of skin cells replenish the old one. In case of any deficiency the regeneration process would retard causing acne breakouts and wrinkles too.

Another common reason for acne breakouts is a bad digestive system. Vitamin B is known to be excellent for good digestion and it regulates the metabolism of the body. Vitamin B helps in producing hydrochloric acid in the body that helps in the digestion of the food we consume. Any deficiency of vitamin B in the body would impair the digestion and cause acne breakouts.

Vitamin B is very vital for the body to be healthy as it helps in maintaining the immunity of the body and the perfect functioning of the nervous system. Deficiency of vitamin B can easily cause external factors to infect the body and cause acne. Vitamin B helps give your muscle an even tone and keeps the skin healthy.

Now let’s see what all food items you should include in your daily diet to consume vitamin B as naturally as you can. Try adding legumes, green leafy vegetables, bread, red meat, egg yolk, whole-grain cereals, brown rice, yeast, berries, milk, cheese, peas, potatoes, peanuts, fish, Soya bean etc. If taken in the right quantities you would discover that you can find a lot of positive results by focusing on vitamin B for acne treatment.

Back Acne Treatment

August 25th, 2010 Dan Hicks No comments

Back acne treatment can be done using over the counter medication. But before doing this, it’s important to know first just how major your back acne actually is. You should also know what could probably be causing your back acne. Although genetics can play a role in it as well as hormonal changes, you can be surprised to find out that the daily things we do and use can actually cause acne on your back-such as wearing shirts and even a backpack.

Generally speaking, acne on your back happens pretty much how facial acne does. It might be because of having hyper oil glands located at your back area. You can also experience this as a result of the clogged pores. Weight issues as well as the kind of clothes you wear can also affect back acne. There are cases wherein the detergent and fabric conditioner which were used to wash clothes can turn out to irritate the skin. Of course, as with anything that has to do with oily pores and skin, and acne, diet can be a major consideration. Greasy foods can easily cause you to break out of your back, just as they can with the traditional facial breakouts.

If you have back acne, the first most important back acne treatment you need to seek is to use a gentle wash. Be mindful of the pH balance offered in your body wash. As much as possible, stay away from soap products and you would do better if you use moisturizing baths. Aside from this, you should also try changing your detergent and fabric conditioner to a milder version. The best products to try right off the bat are hypoallergenic products. This takes away a lot of the chemicals and materials that interact with a wide range of individuals’ skin chemistry in all kinds of negative ways, not just acne. You will find that hypoallergenic products are just about the cleanest that you can find over the counter, chemically speaking.

Speaking of over the counter medication, benzoyl peroxide and alpha hydroxy acid are known to be good forces that help you with your back acne treatment. Just make sure you use the right percentage for each, so that your skin would not react badly to it. Around 2.5% of benzoyl peroxide and 10% of alpha hydrox acid will suffice. But before you apply them, make sure you have already cleansed your body especially the back area using a gentle body wash.

Pregnancy and Acne

August 22nd, 2010 Dan Hicks No comments

During pregnancy, many changes take place in the body of a woman. No two pregnant women have similar experiences, they are all different. Pregnancy and acne may sound weird, but during pregnancy, some women develop breakouts of pimple on their face, but some women already have cases of zits and pimples and they get worse during pregnancy. Women often have a prenatal glow that enhances their looks and adds to their beauty.

Before you get pregnant, it is wise to know how pregnancy has an effect on the skin of the person. It is very common that women develop breakouts during pregnancy, even if they always had very clear skin. Sometimes it the other way round; they may have acne and the skin may simply clear up during pregnancy. Acne during Pregnancy is the result of fluctuations and increasing levels of hormone while carrying the baby. Women are prone to acne during pregnancy, just as they are during puberty because hormones like progesterone kindle the oil glands to generate more oil, which leads to breakouts. The best way to deal with acne during pregnancy is to intake a good quantity of water, which will dilute the hormone secretions and help in flushing it out of the body minimizing the risk of acne during pregnancy.

The first trimester is the time when the hormone levels are fluctuating and it leads to breakouts during pregnancy. But for some women, this may happen after their pregnancy. In case of some women, the breakouts begin to clear, months after they have their baby. Each woman has different experiences, as they are all different some women develop zits during or after their pregnancy. Acne for pregnant women can be treated if they are causing discomfort, as there are some medicines and creams that are safe to use during pregnancy, but very often, the acne is resolves on its own over a short period.

Here are a few healthy helpful and practical tips to minimize breakouts.

- Exercise daily

- Eat fresh fruits and vegetables

- Drink lots of pure water.

- Wash your face at-least twice.

- Use fragrance free soap.

- Use oil free moisturizer.

Pregnancy and acne can be controlled, if you make an effort to understand your body and changes during pregnancy. Taking care of the skin is very crucial during pregnancy. Remember every woman is different so what may happen to one may not necessarily happen with the other. Also, acne and breakouts are temporary skin issues so wait for time to heal them rather than going on heavy medications that could harm your baby.

Your skin doesn’t need to be a continuous obstacle. Be thankful: there are now amazing strategies to do away with acne forever.

The majority of people I have communicated with are disappointed with buying “treatments” that just simply aren’t effective. The pharmacy shelves are packed with assorted creams and the latest products that claim to “zap zits”.

You will find a massive issue with these products – they don’t really care for acne at the cause of the problem. These products just dry out your skin in an attempt to dry out zits one by one.

This is just pure nonsense! Why would you want to target a blemish once it has appeared, instead of treating the underlying issue before you have a pimple?!?

This just makes for aggravated and depressed customers, since it is not a long-term fix. Quite a number of people quickly accept the conclusion that acne can’t be remedied and simply throw in the towel.

And yet, know this: There exists an answer for acne in cases where you address the underlying issues!

How can one make this happen?

You must have a complete treatment solution “system” to be able to guarantee that each one of the causes are addressed.

The examples below are the biggest causes of acne:

1) Acne-Causing Bacteria

2) Inflammation of the skin

3) Excess oil on the skin (caused by overactive skin glands)

4) Skin Pores that are clogged

If you are battling with acne conditions, definitely bear in mind the preceding four “enemies”. To win the battle, you will have to check your treatment method targets all of them.

This certainly isn’t a difficult theory to learn. Even so, the majority of the bigger companies will not even aim to generate products that do that and really treat your acne – since then you wouldn’t carry on buying their products.

But never fret. Proven treatment products are out there, and they deliver the results by treating all the underlying triggers. In so doing, they assist their consumers to overcome acne and permanently enjoy a blemish-free complexion.

Any time you’re choosing a treatment, choose one that manages the problem from each and every angle. Such treatments will usually have a number of steps with a range of products creating the system. This will make sure that you get the permanent effect that you want.

Please don’t get frustrated if you’ve used other products prior to now that haven’t done the trick. Ways Get Rid Of Acne Blackheads

August 19th, 2010 Dan Hicks No comments

Blackheads make you frustrated and annoying. In severe cases even they can stop you going to parties, functions and enjoying your life. They are a caution sign for pimples and acne. Blackheads are caused when sebum (the skin’s natural oil) collects and hardens in the pores. The congesting toxins that are being expelled through your skin from the blood and lymph fluid combines with sebum creating a pasty glue. The exposed tip becomes oxidized and black, hence the name – blackheads. Oily and combination skins are most susceptible to these. The skin’s most dense oil glands are located in T-zone. That is why there you get the most blackheads. Those awful blackheads seem so difficult to get rid of! What is worse, if you don’t remove the blackheads, they can spread out. Usually, blackheads appear on the nose and on the cheeks but did you know that aside from your face, these unsightly blackheads can appear on your arms, chest and back too? Below is some advice about how to get rid of blackheads and avoid the ghastly things altogether.

1. Irritating your skin with harsh chemicals and special skin scrubbing cloths actually causes more acne problems because your skin reacts to these chemicals by trying to repair the damage you’ve done, clogging your pores with puss and naturally occurring oils.

2. Some people try removing them by squeezing, pricking with a needle, pin or tweezers. This is the worst thing people do to their delicate facial skin that makes the condition worst. Not only is it unhygienic but it also aggravates the spread of skin disorders.

3. Sunshine or ultra-violet light encourages skin peeling, and so helps to clear blocked pores. So sunbathing or use of sun-beds in moderation can be helpful. Avoid washing the face with soaps more than twice a day. Instead wash your face often with plain water splashes.

4. Since blackheads are caused by clogged pores, making sure that your skin is clean will lessen the risk of getting blackheads and stop the existing ones from getting worse. Aside from dirt and dust, neglecting to remove make-up is one of the major causes of blackhead growth.

5. Moisturizing your face with a damp, warm cloth in the evening can help get rid of blackheads. Simply put the damp cloth over your face for a period of 15-25 minutes each night, to help loosen and dissolve dead skin, dirt, and other pore clogging particles. This is one of the best natural acne treatment.

6. Mix almond powder or oatmeal with rose water and make a soft paste. Gently rub it on your face, leave it for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse off with cold water.

Several Natural Acne Remedies

August 17th, 2010 Dan Hicks No comments

People can head to the supermarket to buy non-prescription products regarding blemishes. This specific notion seems simple. Nonetheless, one will find complications plus unwanted side effects to consider. If a person’s acne is minimal then an individual ought to take into consideration a natural treatment for acne to rid those ugly pimples. Folks with serious blemishes might require a physician’s prescription for more potent medications than what non-prescription remedies will furnish. An individual with severe pimples might think about holistic cures too. Keep in mind, the stronger the human generated product is then more reactions it could cause. Maybe when a person has severe pimples then a combination of written prescription plus holistic remedies will be needed.

Most people suffer from minimal pimples. This reason will be due to the internal system becoming slightly out of balance. People completing a couple natural modifications may take care of her or his pimple predicament. An excellent adjustment folks might take into account will be controlling hormone intake. Meat and dairy products possibly will have natural hormones from whichever animal. These hormones from the animal can provoke one’s system to cause blemishes. A preference of being acne free or else eating a succulent prime rib can only be made by one that experiences blemishes. A few corporations sell meat without hormones. Although, that expense is a lot greater in comparison to everyday meat products. A decision for being acne free or else enjoying cow milk tends not to be as complicated of an option for the reason folks can choose soymilk for a choice.

An additional natural treatment for acne happens to be being certain one’s system is getting adequate multivitamins. Several individuals happen to be lacking vitamins without realizing they are. If one’s medical professional will not give blood exams to figure out if a person happens to be vitamin deficient then there are great internet based businesses that will complete the blood exam. The nutrient blood examination should at the minimum comprise vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin B1, zinc, vitamin D and vitamin B12.

A non conventional remedy a woman could complete will be quit putting on cosmetics. When a lady feels she must wear makeup then be sure the cosmetics does not clog pores and will not produce acne. A few quality beauty products contain pimple reducing substances like benzoyl peroxide mixed in them.

Skin pores could get plugged if incorrectly washed. In case the body is missing certain nutriments for eliminating excess waste then pores might become irritated plus inflamed producing blemishes.

Acne Treatment

August 13th, 2010 Dan Hicks No comments

The challenge is finding a routine that is right for your skin.

A good routine will remove excess sebum (remember sebum is the oil we naturally produce to keep skin healthy, supple and youthful). Too much sebum can cause pore blockage and allow bacteria to increase to a level that will cause inflammation.

If you use a cleanser that is too harsh you will actually stimulate the sebaceous into producing more sebum.

The only reliable way to get a cleansing regime that is right for you and that will prevent spots is to experiment – treatments I used were sometimes not good for friends. Natural acne treatments worked best for me, but I know some folks have great success with commercial products.

Here are a few more home remedy facial cleansers that you can make from your store cupboard. They may help you to prevent spots and reduce skin inflammation.

I would recommend you try one for a week or so before changing. Stick with a recipe if it works for you.

If you get any adverse reaction, irritation or redness, stop using the recipe.

The Sweety Wheaty. Make a paste with wheat germ and whole milk. Add a teaspoon of honey (preferably natural honey rather than a commercial blend). Rinse your face with warm water before massaging the paste over damp skin. Rinse with warm water, then cool water, then pat dry. Good for normal to dry skin.

The cornmeal cleanser. Mix two parts yellow corn-meal with one part natural yogurt. Massage onto the face and rinse off with warm water. Good for oily skin

Nutty exfoliator. Mix together 2 Tablespoons of ground Almonds, 2 Tablespoons of Oat flour and 1 Tablespoon dry chamomile tea. Add a little olive oil for dry skin, warm water for oily skin. Massage gently over damp skin. Be Gentle, this is an exfoliator and will remove dead skin cells. You are not sanding down a DIY project! Good as a deep cleanser.

And as a once a week deep cleansing face mask

Wear your Breakfast. Mix 1 tablespoon of yogurt with 1 Tablespoon of honey. Put a peppermint or chamomile teabag in half a cup of boiling water and leave for 20 minutes. Remove the teabag and mix the “tea” with the yogurt/honey. Add a quarter cup of finely ground oat-meal. Apply the pack to the face, massaging gently. Leave it on for around 15 minutes before rinsing with warm water. A fantastic deep cleansing pack. A bit fiddly but worth the effort once a week. Good for deep cleansing and drawing out impurities

All these home remedy facials have been beneficial in getting rid of spots, but remember everyone’s skin is different so watch carefully for a reaction. My wife is gluten intolerant so wouldn’t go near the recipes with oatmeal. Be sensible and don’t try any that have an ingredient if you know you don’t tolerate that ingredient well.

Cleansing is only one part of the solution. You will also need to consider your diet, your lifestyle, manage your stress and be aware of your bodies hormonal changes. But if you get a cleansing routine that works for you and your skin you’ve started the journey toward healthy blemish free skin

Staying Healthy to Prevent Acne

August 11th, 2010 Dan Hicks No comments

In many cases, keeping yourself healthy entails beauty. What we do to our bodies usually manifest in the physical appearance. The face reflects many of our health habits. Conditions such as acne arise from a combination of unhealthy practices that we commonly do.

Acne is a disease of the skin, most commonly and abundantly the areas with the most sebaceous glands. They are most commonly known as pimples or zits. It may be in inflammatory or non-inflammatory form. Single or very few pimples are already looked upon as undesirable but there are many instances when the acne is very severe that the whole face appears very red and is filled with the ugly lesions.

Acne is very common among teenagers. This is due to the hyperactive hormonal system that produces excessive oil on the skin. Although this is natural, it is very important to keep the skin healthy and clean to keep the acne from getting infected and leaving ugly marks and scars permanently. Most pimples go away after a few days or a week. However, some persist and even multiply. Acne becomes worse when the person is not very particular with skin hygiene, especially the face. Since the face is exposed a lot, it collects dirt all day. When the sebaceous glands become blocked, the pores where the glands and the hair follicles exit swell and become infected.

It may be hard to prevent them from arising during puberty but being clean with the skin is a start. Also, eating healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables help. Many fruits contain antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that can help keep the skin healthy. Another important thing that can help prevent acne is by sleeping enough. When someone lacks sleep, the immune system weakens and infections are more likely to occur. Sleep also contributes to the good appearance of the skin. These things can be done to prevent acne but if one of the factors that causes it is genetics then it may be more difficult to get rid of it. The professional assistance of a dermatologist is probably the best thing to look for if you have a familial history of acne.

If we do not take care of our health, our appearances are bound to suffer. However, this is just a small part of what we should be worried about. We might end up with major diseases at some point of our lives because of the abuses that we do to our bodies.
